Mobil Home Parks Deteriorating Under Corporate Owner Equity Lifestyle Properties

MHvillage a subsidiary of Equity Lifestyle Properties are just not measuring up according to statements made by dozens at multiple Mobil Home Parks owned by the company. Many have had the same complaints, including lack of capital improvements. “ They are raising the lot rents to what they have been claiming is Current Market Value but when you live here not much has changed from the 80s . Pool furniture outdated and things in kitchen not working and when we go to management we hear its not in the budget”

MHvillage and Equity Lifestyle Properties are showing massive quarterly profits and yet they have more complaints today than ever so whats going on? The company and its stockholders are just pillaging the people who have lived in their mobil home parks long before ELS showed up and have seen it just go down hill since they took over. Sandra from one mobil home park in Largo Florida says “ we havent had a clubhouse event in weeks”. The icemaker has been broken for months , we have no freezer and our total lot rent is up 200 dollars just in the last year. My mom lived in this park 25 years ago when it was beautiful and there were all kinds of amenities now we dont even have a full time manager

Why MHvillage is not addressing these issues is anyones guess but more and more people are coming forward because they have just had enough.
