Ive been on a mission lately helping some group of people trying to bring some light to the situation between Equity Lifestyle Properties and its mobil home owners who rent land, but it seems its with all of their properties, marinas, condos they own under Equity Residential and even campers have complained in the campsite’s they own. I spent the last couple weeks traveling around Pinellas County visiting all of Equity Lifestyle owned mobil home parks to do a little investigative work and the stories are all the same.
Some folks say their mobil home park hasn’t been the same since ELS took over. The storm drains seem to be a major issue in 60 % of the parks I visited. Lack of amenities has decreased in 80% of their properties and lack of good management was around 68%.
Its easy to buy a bunch of properties raise rents, reduce amenities and maintenance and provide sub par management but the people have spoken at least here in Pinellas County and our other investigative reporters are dealing with similar stories in their states so stay tuned for their findings. Equity Lifestyle Properties could easily continue to make a fortune while doing the right thing, but why dont they
