This is definitely due in part from them relinquishing their 55+ status at some of these communities and allowing people of all ages to move in and without proper vetting. Equity Lifestyle Properties is a publicly traded real estate holdings company that specializes in buying mobil home parks and all they care about is the profit regardless of how they get it. Mobil Homeowners are fuming about these absentee landlords and blame Equity Lifestyle Properties for the increasing crime in their once beautiful 55+ mobil home park community .

Sandra from Pinellas County says “ they let anyone move in here, this was a beautiful 55+ retirement community before ELS took over now we have teens twenties thirties and a whole lot of trouble came with them”. She says ELS wont get rid of them because of the expense that comes with a eviction which can be between 2 and 3 thousand dollars

Crime and ELS go hand in hand. The internet has thousands of complaints across the country for the same reasons but lately crime in equity lifestyle properties mobil home parks had risen and homeowners complaints have fallen on deaf ears
