This anti ELS group was formed to bring mobil homeowners together from all over the country to fight against the property owners Equity Lifestyle Properties. Mobil Homeowners from across the US and especially in Florida and California have a bad taste in their mouth since ELS took over the property they live on.
Unlike a conventional neighborhood where people own the land they live on, mobil homes are usually sitting on land that someone else owns , and they pay a monthly rent for the land and some basic services which are usually included like water and landscaping services as well as a common pool with clubhouse amenities. Mobil homeowners have claimed that ELS has come in, raised the rents on a continuous basis and cut back on property maintenance . Some are claiming they have ruined their communities.
