If your a mobil homeowner in Florida there is a 90 % chance that its placed on a property owned by Equity Lifestyle Properties and that not a good thing. Equity Lifestyle Properties have been taking advantage of homeowners who live on their property, specifically and more recently is a issue about who is responsible for the trees in a Florida Mobil Home Park???
Well there is no clearly defined statute and municipalities don’t have the authority so who does?? Well we’re going to find out in 2023. In 2001 senate hearings took place to discuss this issue and in the end they concluded that there should be clear amendments to statutes of 723
Fact there is no current statute that puts the responsibility on mobil homeowners who rent the land in a mobil home park. Fact there is no current statute that states the mobil home property owner holds responsibility but they have taken advantage of this grey area by forcing mobil homeowners to sign a tree acknowledgment waiver and if you dont then you cant live there
Heres the problem. They wont show you their prospectus until you purchase a home and at that piont what are you supposed to do?? The fact is that it’s illegal for them to deny you entrance into the park if you decline to sign this document so until this issue is definitely clarified through statute or an ammended statute I say dont sign any waiver or acknowledgment to anything
