What will it take for the FBI to take a look at the thousands of complaints against this company and the thousands of people being forced out of their homes ? This company owns well above the 50% of the market share and that is monopoly power. Im sure when you add up all their DBAs you will find market share in the 75 to 90 % range. This company is taking advantage of the lower income percentile and the senior citizens that are just making ends meet. You see they have the manufactured home communities held hostage. Our homes ( and they are homes contrary to some belief’s ) cannot be moved. They were called mobil homes because they were manufactured somewhere else but brought to their permanent site on flatbed trucks thus the name. Well Equity Lifestyle Properties knows this and thats why we are hostages. There is no where to go. They own just about every mobil home park in my geographic area. So they raise the rents as high as allowable by law in some states and they spend millions lobbying against any kind of rent control. They are a monopoly in the mobil home community in every state. The FBI needs to look into this company .
