MHvillage is owned by Equity Lifestyle Properties and is the managing division for mobile home properties that ELS owns. They go by a lot of different names so be diligent and stay away from this company. Other names might be MHC llc or MHresale or Sun coast communities. These are all the same company, Equity Lifestyle Properties .

Their advertisements will say 55+ retirement communities, or showcase communities, they will claim that their communities are geared towards the retirement age groups with lots of things going on. There isn’t anything going on in my community. We dont have one thing on our rotted out wood sign that you manually have to change out plastic letters to display an event. MHvillage had spent zero dollars in our mobil home park since before the pandemic and the rent has been raised every year. The pool furniture is so outdated several chairs have collapsed recently and manager says its just not in the budget. Our rent is 920.00 in this ELS owned community and a little higher if you have lakefront property. Lets talk about lakefront property for a sec. Its a retention pond with muck just 3 inches below the surface, its dirty and there has been zero maintenance done in years. Its the prime reason for the flooding we deal with throughout the rainy season. You will pay more rent if your house faces this muck pond or even if you are on a corner where one window faces it then you will be charged more. We cant figure out why because we all pay the exact amount for property tax for each lot so why are people being charged more because they are facing this muck pond.

We have a shuffleboard court as do most of MHvillage properties but its never used. Its 2023 and shuffleboard was kind of the thing of the 70s. We would love to repurpose the building to have a screen for outdoor movies and a stage for open mic night or karaoke but it sits there unused as in most of their mobil home communities. Our clubhouse is pretty decent butvthats only because there was a fire and insurance paid for the remodel. The bathrooms are original as with most of ELS properties and are NOT ADA compliant. Thats a little odd since its advertised as a 55+ showcase community . Do yourself a favor and stay far away from MHvillage , ELS, Sun coast communities or any other dba owned by parent company Equity Lifestyle Properties
