Equity Lifestyle Properties pillaging seniors and mobile home communities across Florida

Lets talk about Equity Lifestyle Properties,the lowest scum of the real estate investment trust companies out there. These people decided to make money by pillaging the people who have the least of it. There are videos all over the internet where investors talk about how easy it is to pillage the mobile home communities in our country because and I quote “ what are they going to do. They cant just pack up and move their homes “

This is common talk in some of these videos. Equity Lifestyle Properties is a publicly traded business who boast of quarterly profits in the millions while smiling at the senior citizen who just dropped off their 980.00 lot rent fee. This company is scum actually they are lower than scum but I dont know what that word would be. Right now they are pillaging the communities with increasing water bills that they refuse to show tenants and billing without water meters. They have a failing infrastructure in almost all of the mobile home parks they purchased because most are 50 plus years old but they dont care. Water main shut off valves are leaking everywhere in our park and others across Florida and they tell the homeowners that its our responsibility to pay the plumber to fix it. I visited 6 mobile home parks today that have empty lots and took some photos of what is there. Theres only 2 things coming out of the ground. A 3 or 4 inch waste pipe or sewer pipe and a main water line with a shutoff valve at the end. These items are part of the mobile home parks infrastructure and therefore it is their property. Florida 723 doesn’t exactly state this and so the rape and pillaging continues on with Equality Lifestyle Properties passing their responsibilities onto already struggling residents. Then we have this tree issue , ELS makes any new buyer sign a waiver that says you are responsible for the trees on their property, thats right. The trees that they purchased when they bought the land are now your responsibility and again its not stated clearly in 723 so the rape and pillaging continue again. People in my mobile home park have been forced to pay for tree service because limbs are hanging low even though they were that way when the current homeowner purchased the home.

We will be pounding on every door we have to to get changes made to the legislature that supports chapter 723. Our district 13 Congreswoman has pledged her support in this matter if our claims are true and so we are gathering all our evidence together for a second meeting in March. This company thinks everyone in a mobile home is a dumb hillbilly but they woke the wrong bear. We will be a thorn in their side as long as it takes and you will see change.
