Mobile Homeowners from Florida and other states have the same complaints about business practices of landowners Equity Lifestyle Properties

Equity Lifestyle Properties is a Real Estate Investment Trust who made their bones investing in mobile home communities across the nation especially in Florida. Their mobile home park portfolio is larger than any other companies and their traded on the stock market under NASDAQ ELS Common Stock and Equity Residential.

Unfortunately their not very good landlords and their residents have had enough. With thousands of complaints and dozens of lawsuits against them you have to wonder why they refuse to communicate with their communities and just do the right thing. The answer is greed. The founder and still current Chairman of ELS, Sam Zelle became a billionaire stealing from seniors and the less fortunate and a big chunk of that was made by pillaging their mobile home communities.

2023 is going to be the year that Equity Lifestyle Properties is going to be called out for the years of abuse and pillaging of their mobile homeowners. There are to many complaints to ignore. Just this week alone we’ve received a dozen complaints in our Facebook group We The People Getting Screwed By ELS and their all the same regardless of the state.

Cimmaron Park in Lake Elmo Minnesota write: The pool is always down, the playground is broken, the golf course is inoperable, party room has been closed due to broken pioes and their own manager calls a tow truck on its residents if they need to park on the street. This is not how you manage your residents.

Shell Creek in Punta Gorda say lack of maintenance, constant pool issues and non existent management and office hours are a constant there.

Lake Fairways in North Ft Meyers say their pool has been causing health issues including infections since Ian and health department has been there on multiple occasions with no response yet from Equity Lifestyle Properties.

Buccaneer Park North Ft Meyers have the same complaints as so many others. Zero management. Zero capital improvements, lack of amenities and constant increases in rent and services. Its time to hold Equity Lifestyle Properties accountable for the way they treat their residents.

  2. Mgt or lack there of are acting like a little Hitler! No communication with residents. Nobody showed up for almost 2 WEEKS after IAN!!! Lack of respect. Fountains still not working since before IAN
    Pool not open
    Mailboxes still down. And amenities are a joke. Mgr refuses to talk to or answer any questions
    She could call me Grama so young. Rats in our Clubhouse!! And our rent just went up 6.75%. You want more I cN go on and on. Tried to get news statio s in. She calls Sheriff’s to get them out. What don’t you want the media and publi to know? Not a gated community as advertised

    I am concerned that the amenities that a pay for are not available. For example, laundry, ice machines, pool, hot tub, security gate, etc.
