Florida is not the only place dealing with neglected properties , Mia management and absentee landlords. It seems Equity Lifestyle Properties problems are not confined to Florida alone. With residents complaining about ELS from Minnesota to California and all throughout the southern states , and now Golden Colorado.
Golden Terrace Village and its sister properties Golden Terrace South and West are tired of waiting for ELS to step up and give them the community they pay for and deserve. Road issues , speeding, plumbing problems and run down properties are just a few of the issues the publicly traded company is avoiding, causing unrest and anxiety amongst its residents.
This is a family park and children are just not safe in here says one resident who wants to remain anonymous due to possible retaliation from manager Doug. There are rats around the run down properties and the speeding is dangerous. Equity Lifestyle Properties does nothing but say we’re working on it. If they put as much time into solving the problems as they do sending out rent increase notices , the issue would be moot
