Equity Lifestyle Properties still treating mobile homeowners with disrespect amidst law suits and investigative reporting

Last year residents of DownYonder had enough of mega real estate trust company ELS or Equity Lifestyle Properties. Residents started turning to social media like Facebook group We the people getting screwed by Equity lifestyle properties, which should already tell you what this company is about if there is a group of this name formed against them. Others decided to send a letter to management declaring they will hold back rent and others stood outside out gates and held a protest on the road and they called as many local newspapers that would listen and the Guardian came in and did a story about ELS and its residents at Down Yonder Village in Largo Florida which you can read below

Its been almost a year since all this has taken place and residents say that the company has taken steps to address maintenance related issues but management still seems to be an issue.

They treat us like invalids and talk to us like we are children. Our park manager has no business being a manager of a mobile home park, he just doesn’t have the people skills for this type job but they dont care, if they did he would be gone. There have been dozens of complaints brought to the companies attention and nothing has come to fruition.

There are several groups on Facebook that have gained traction lately and they have no intentions of slowing down.

“ We the people getting screwed by Equity lifestyle properties was formed because they flat out ignore every single resident and laugh at you while they are doing it. Social media is our gun our protection and one of the only ways we can fight back without it costing a fortune in legal fees. Thousands of people that have joined the group to share their horror stories of ELS cant all be lying. Mobile homeowners unite . Org has 20,000 followers and most are residents living on leased land owned by ELS. The problems are not confined to Florida only but extend through every mobile home park that they own and all across the US. We are going to file another class action suit against them when the time is right but until then this is how we let the world know that Equity Lifestyle Slumlords are just that Slumlords
