50 year old infrastructure issues are major concern in all of Equity Lifestyle Properties mobile home parks

While Equity Lifestyle Properties is still in litigation on the other side of Florida from a lawsuit filed by residents of Heritage Plantation in Vero Beach for the same issues as you see above, things arent any better here in Pinellas County . Flooding is a big problem in many of Equity Lifestyle Properties mobile home parks across Florida. They will blame the city for the problem but the reality is the roads outside the park are never flooded.

Residents from Heritage Plantation complained for years and they went unheard ,until one year the water just kept rising and many homes were damaged because of the drainage system of the park. Some of these parks are 60 years old and almost all of them were built using galvanized pipes for water which have already seen their maximum life. Same thing with the sewer and stormwater system, Outdated

ELS wont do anything, its cheaper for them to deal with a lawsuit than upgrade the property and thats exactly what they will get if Down Yonder Village gets that one day when the water keeps rising, but right now its about a foot and a half below the point of where it would enter the house.

In the meantime its a safety hazard, the standing water breeds disease and mosquitoes and it makes it difficult for our senior citizens to get aid if they need it while the water is so high
