Equity lifestyle properties managers telling mobile homeowners Landscaping companies are immune from damage they cause. Update! Equity lifestyle properties has decided to repair the broken glass

Equity Lifestyle properties hire the cheapest landscaping companies money can buy and so with that comes inexperience and lots of damage

Mobile homeowners across Florida living on leased land from ELS all have the same issues and all being told the same thing

Two weeks ago at Down Yonder Village in Largo which is advertised as a 55 + park (it isn’t) a 35 year resident was sitting at home watching tv and heard a loud noise outside her door and when she turned to look she saw a hole in the glass of her front door. She opened the door and saw the rock that hit the glass laying on the ground. It was oblivious that it came from the lawn care guys as they were on her property at the time of the incident.

She called the office to speak to the manager who has no business being a manager at a place where you have to deal with residents ( people ) on a daily basis since he has zero people skills but nevertheless he is the manager and he was unavailable at the time because he only works in our mobile home park a couple days a week and works next door at another Equity Lifestyle Slumlords mobile home park the rest of week but he did come out when he was on property and he did send someone from the landscaping company to take a look. They said they could and would fix it

Today two weeks later the homeowner called the office to find out what the hold up was and was told that they have decided that its not the landscaping company’s responsibility and thats that

The fact of the matter is Equity Lifestyle Properties will not take responsibility for anything because if they do it opens up a can of worms for everyone else. What if it was her car ?? what if it was my 1995 Dodge Viper ?? suppose I want to take my car out one weekend and bring it by my house and park it in my driveway before I put it back in storage and the landscape happens to be at my house that day and a rock comes up and hits my car. The landscape company is not responsible for that.????

Well we have decided to file a small claims complaint. Not for the money but to make a point. Lets see if spending a day in court is better than just replacing a pane of glass

Say no to Equity Lifestyle Properties and find a place where you are more than a monthly payment. This company is horrible and this group wont ever stop writing about them
