If you lease land in a mobile home park owned by ELS you will experience this every year. The properties they own are old, the infrastructures are outdated and have been under maintained to say the least

Equity lifestyle properties have already been sued for the same issues in one of their mobile home parks in Vero Beach, Heritage Plantation and are currently in litigation

Mobile homeowners renting land from Equity lifestyle properties are paying upwards of 1000.00 just for the plot of land their homes sit on. The days of 300 dollar lot rents are long gone. ELS is the landlord and they are not fulfilling their part of the prospectus

Unfortunately HOAs in mobile home parks are not the same as residential or condominium HOAs and have no authority to do anything. We are held to a constitution called Florida Mobile Home Act Chapter 723 which is policed by a corrupt division called the DPBR in Tallahassee

Its up to us the mobile homeowners to take these matters into our own hands and thats how Mobilehomeownersunite.org was born. We will tell the public how this predatory company operates,and the day will come when legislation will be put in place to protect homeowners rights regardless of what housing sector they are in, even in Florida where they are abusing homeowners regularly . Homeowners rights should be universal for everyone .
