Equity Lifestyle Properties regional manager Douglas Jefferies has done nothing about the many complaints residents have made regarding problems in their mobile home parks

Since his arrival a few years ago and I don’t mean arrival to ELS he was already an employee out in Arizona and there are many stories that aren’t very complimentary, I mean his arrival as regional manager here in Florida

Ive seen first hand how this regional manager operates. He has no problem nudging his park managers into intimidating tactics against residents that don’t fall in line with ELS strict policies in their mobile home parks . Ive seen first hand how Doug Jefferies would ride back and forth in front of a resident’s mobile home with the park manager just to intimidate particular residents they consider problematic.I have found him to be arrogant and dismissive

Two years ago he was outside my home taking photos, he knows I operate this group and several other social media sites that are killing ELS presence online, so he thought he would intimidate me by taking photos of my house but not telling us who he was when we asked. I have personally sent Douglass Jefferies emails about unvetted people in our community, problems at the pool, underage residents , people who have been stealing, people who come in off the streets and empty their trailer’s into our dumpster and emails about all the homeless and crack heads coming in every day seeking food from our clubhouse or anything else they can get their hands on.

Almost every single time I get a reply saying call the police. The police come and say we can’t do anything about this person living in a home he shouldn’t be in. If the homeowner doesn’t care than we can’t do anything. When we call the police about speeding in the park, we get a response that it’s private property and we don’t patrol for speeding.

There is definitely bias against certain people that they choose to harass and if you fly a rainbow flag in Down Yonder you will definitely get special treatment from our rainbow flying manager who lets some people get away with doing work that requires a permit and others they call the building inspector. I know of this first hand because when I first got here I was doing work in my complex but tge old manager Bob Kelsey would call the inspector on me daily. Douglass Jefferies wasn’t doing well in Arizona and isn’t doing well here in Florida. You can’t change a persons business ethics by changing their location and ELS being the DEI company they advertise to be is a perfect example of job positions being given to people who are not qualified, and Douglass Jefferies is not qualified to work with people and either are most of the park managers they hire.
