Here’s how much Equity Lifestyle Properties cares about their senior mobile home communities

If your a senior and ever find yourself looking to buy a mobile home in a 55+ mobile home park owned by Equity Lifestyle Properties, and I hope you dont, but you will find very few updates when it comes to ADA compliancy. By law its not required unless there are major renovations being proposed, at which time they would have to follow todays codes which require new common area bathrooms be ADA compliant.

Wouldn’t you want to do that before you are forced to? I mean ELS has claimed for years that they buy distressed mobile home properties to rejuvinate them, they advertise beautiful retirement communities yet they have done very little to help out the seniors unless forced to by a judge.

Lets move on from the common area bathrooms and kitchen. The pool area has no equipment for the disabled. No hoist, no electronic gate, hell we barely have chairs at our pool.

For a company that claims their 55+ mobile home parks are showcase communities , they dont do very much at all to support those claims.

  1. At heritage ada complaints were filed , however the chair installed is not ada
Compliant nor is it now working , they also installed new entrance walks into clubhouse which also are not Ada compliant.
    Complain , write your congressman/women
    Keep pressure on .
