Equity Lifestyle Properties force mobile homeowners to maintain the property owners tree’s but don’t practice what they preach

Equity Lifestyle Properties have been making all new mobile homeowners sign a tree acknowledgment that puts the responsibility of maintaining the property owned trees on the homeowners. Its not a law as they claim in the document below and its not in the prospectus filed with the state. This is absolutely another attempt by Equity Lifestyle Properties to pass on another responsibility to its residents.

Not only that , you are also made to acknowledge that you cannot plant anything in the ground. So lets recap. You have to take care of the trees that have been there for decades but you cant even plant a tomato???WTF

Tree acknowledgement every new homebuyer will be forced to sign

Veronica Moses a double amputee in a wheelchair has been asking ELS to please trim the tree hanging on her roof at Carriage Cove in South Daytona. See photos below. The branches scrape on the roof causing Veronica stress and anxiety. She is fearful that being in a wheelchair she might not be able to move fast enough if a branch fell while she is outside. She is asking why she is responsible for a tree that has never been trimmed and has been there ling before she arrived and the answer is because ELS says its your responsibility and you are bound to that piece of paper they make you sign.

So next time you get a notice from Equity Lifestyle Properties management about taking care of your ( their ) trees , tell them when you take care of yours I’ll take care of mine. Below are a few pics of the trees that are around our common areas like the muck pond and the clubhouse and are clearly the properties responsibility.
