This is what you will get if your late paying your rent at an Equity Lifestyle Properties mobile home park.

Here is a letter a resident from Down Yonder Village owned by Equity Lifestyle Properties received when their rent was late through no fault of their own

Equity Lifestyle Properties claim on their corporate website how much they care about their tenants. Here is what a 30 year resident of Down Yonder Village in Largo Florida received last month from their self described “caring property owners” when their rent was late

Not a single phone call or message from the office as a courtesy reminder for a 30 year resident who has always paid their rent. Not a knock on the door from management to make sure everything was ok with their long time resident, after all a company like Equity Lifestyle Properties cares about their homeowners. Instead a threatening letter right out of the gate. The lot rent in this case was late but it was no fault of the homeowners and it should have been handled differently especially considering the years the homeowner has been here.

This is exactly what mobile homeowners and all homeowners across the United States experience with Equity Lifestyle Properties. This is how your grandma or retired uncle in Florida are being treated by Equity Lifestyle Properties. It is borderline violations of our civil rights . We pay a lot of money for a small patch of dirt and our communities are advertised as paradise but they are far from it. We are pressing the FBI very hard to just look into the predatory business practices of this REIT company ELS.

Say no to Wells Fargo ,Say no to Black Rock ,Say no to Fidelity and any other company that is investing your money in Equity Lifestyle Properties, because your money could be putting a senior citizen on the street.

  1. If it was no fault of their own then did they attempt to call the office to explain. Just wondering how late were they.

Yes then the office should have informed them as a courtesy before that notice so they could rectified the issue. I pay by check hand delivered so there is no problem like that.
