Retaliation against Homeowners who complain to landlords Equity Lifestyle Properties is a systemic problem throughout the company and it is real.

People who have felt retaliation from Equity Lifestyle Properties and or its management are coming out in droves and its time that everyone knows. First of all it’s illegal but who are you supposed to tell. Well you can call the police and make a report or you can email upper management but I doubt that will help since it’s probably part of their overall training of management or you can send your info to We the people getting screwed by ELS or click link below and we’ll make sure your story is heard and you wont be punished for doing so.

I feel retaliation in my community just because I started Mobile Homeowners Unite. Org and because I write these blogs but the way they show retaliation towards me is by avoiding me anyway they can. Our manager at Down Yonder Village in Largo besides calling building inspectors on residents, does everything he can to avoid me and my wife and his maintenance guy drives around the block to avoid passing by my house and that is a form of retaliation because I deserve the same service as everyone else. I dont know how he got a job dealing with people because he has zero people skills and thats the problem.

There are dozens of complaints right now but due to their fear of more retaliation from management I have been asked not to add their stories until we seek legal advice but once we do everyones story will be told

There are many others but since we believe these are accusations that borderline criminal activity we are not going to share their names until legal advice steps in.

    I am a mother of 2 boys, and i have been living in an RV Resort owned by ELS since 2020, I bought a permanent structure that the office approved me to live in, and i have been paying lot rent every month. They have all of a sudden decided they no longer want permanent structures, that have been here for 30 plus years. They gave us a notice back in November 2022 to tear down our structures, and when we asked the office they blamed it on the city and told us they have their attorneys fighting to get us grandfathered in, well what a lie that was. Thursday August 31st 2023, the office staff had maintenance guys go around after they left to put 30 day eviction notices on some of the permanent structures not all, it states we have to tear down the structure and vacate by October 1st 2023. We are lower middle class families trying to survive, and a majority is elderly people that have lived here for 20 plus years on a fixed income. They are doing all this just to fill their pockets some more, they expect us to pay thousands of dollars to get our homes torn down and hauled away and loose every single time we purchase our homes for. Also they have been signing illegal year leases for years and they are still continuing to do so on October 1st, they will not fix a single thing and people are constantly getting hurt on broken structures. I am going to do everything i can to fight this not only for my family but all the innocent elderly people just trying to live, we are currently banning together and seeking litigation ( please tell me if anyone has been able to do this). If they want us gone so they can make room for their precious park models they want to sell for thousands or their fema trailers the Government will pay them for, whatever the case, if they want us gone after 20 plus years fine but they should have to buy us out so we have money to relocate and not get stuck living in a car. Also this same thing happened back in 2006 you can Google the article, (encore / bulow RV Resort in flagler beach Florida) back then it just got swept under the rug and they continued to sign illegal year leasing and allow unsuspecting victims to spend their last dime on illegal permanent structures. This Corporation is the epimtemy of disgusting, all they do is get rich on illegal practices and prey on the elderly.
