Mobile Homeowners Unite

Its no secret that equity lifestyle properties and their managers intimidate their mobile homeowners with threats of eviction and retaliation when you dont comply to their terms. The hundreds of residents across the US that have joined Facebook group We the people getting screwed by Equity lifestyle properties cant all be lying. I myself have experienced some kind of retribution from management where I live.

We can’t tell management or the company to go fuck themselves and leave. Our homes are semi permanently attached to their land and cant be moved very easily and therefore Advantage property owners. In my park, management picks and chooses who can do work on their homes without a permit and if your not one of the chosen few then you’ll get a visit from the town inspector. In my park if management doesn’t like you for whatever reasons, you wont get any help from maintenance. In my park, eviction notices are sent to people who need to fix their home to be in compliance with ELS rules that they cant afford to do, and instead of coming up with a helpful solution, they threaten with calls to the cities building department to cite the residents.

We are going to keep writing and keep posting everywhere possible and if you have a problem in with your mobile home park’s then step up and call them out. I will need managers name and the name of the park and we’ll get their attention.

Equity Lifestyle Properties are slumlords and its not just with their mobile home residents, I heard stories from people who lease space at their marinas and their private sector homes and the stories are all the same. The intention of this group is to call out everyone and everything thats wrong about Equity Lifestyle Properties and its CEO Margarite Nader until we have enough to prove in a court of law or until someone else steps up and does it for us. Until then the bad publicity will continue.
