Equity Lifestyle Properties charging mobile homeowners twice as much than Condominium owners HOA Fees that provide the same services and amenities, how is this allowed to happen when all fall under Florida Chapter 723

If you live in Florida and you own a mobile home , it’s probably on leased land meaning you have to pay rent to the property owners. These lot rent fees usually include the property taxes, the lawn care, the garbage, management and maintenance and whatever else might be in the contract.

If you own a condominium or a timeshare and yes whoever is commenting that timeshares are not comparable is wrong. Timeshares absolutely have HOAs and fees that are comparable to Condominiums, you would be paying a monthly HOA fee for the same amenities just listed above and more. Condominiums include cable tv in their HOA fee and water and sewer is included.

There is just one problem , mobile homeowners are paying twice as much and we want to know why. The average HOA fee for a condominium in Pinellas County is 500.00 dollars. The average mobile home park lot rent in Pinellas County is 1000.00 dollars.

Mobile homeowners are being held hostage in Florida by Equity Lifestyle Properties and all the others. Our homes are worthless because we cant sell them because of the lot rents that are twice that of condos and timeshares and seniors on social security who have lived in their homes for decades cant keep up with the annual rent increases.
