Equity residential is a REIT ( real estate investment trust ) that focuses on apartment rentals, home rentals, unlike its sister company Equity Lifestyle Properties which deals in mobile home parks mobile home rentals and mobile home sales as well as marinas and some campgrounds.

Both Equity residential and Equity lifestyle properties are publicly traded companies and both companies have thousands of complaints posted on the internet from residents.

We the people getting screwed by Equity lifestyle properties is a Facebook group that focuses on bringing the bad business practices of this company to the forefront for all to see . This company imposes nazi like rules on its residents , pillages senior citizens and they hire people that wouldn’t even be able to pass the same background check they impose on their prospective residents. The group got so popular that people living under the rule of Equity Residential started to join.
